Sol clinch WPS Regular Season title with 0-0 tie vs FC Gold Pride

The Los Angeles Sol and FC Gold Pride played to a 0-0 tie on Thursday, July 23 at Buck Shaw Stadium in Santa Clara, Calf. Both goalkeepers - the Sol's Karina LeBlanc and FC Gold Pride's Allison Whitworth - made key saves in the tie. With the tie, the Sol clinched the 2009 WPS Regular Season title earning the right to host the WPS Championship on Saturday, August 22 at The Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif.
