About Aly Wagner

Aly Wagner has represented the United States in international play 126 times and is a two time Olympic gold medalist, in 2004 in Athens and most recently in 2008 in Beijing. Aly played her first game with the national team in December of 1998 against the Ukraine. Wagner claimed bronze at the 2007 FIFA Women's World Cup and in 2005 became seventh on the U.S. all-time assist list.
College
Aly is a 2002 graduate of Santa Clara University where she earned a degree in Combined Sciences. While at Santa Clara, Aly won a NCAA title in 2001 by scoring the winning goal in the title game against the University of North Carolina. In 2002, Aly was awarded with the Missouri Athletic Club's Hermann Trophy which is presented to college soccer's top player. She was also a winner of the NCAA Top VIII Award, presented to the top eight student-athletes from all NCAA divisions.
High School / Youth Club
Aly grew up in Northern California and attended Presentation High School where she was the Gatorade National Player of the Year as a senior. She was a member of the school's honor roll all four years and graduated with a 4.1 grade point average. Played club soccer for the Central Valley Mercury and helped her team win three straight national titles in 1996, '97, and '98.
Katie Witham - FSC's sideline reporter at the WPS Inaugural Match
Katie Witham is an Emmy nominated sports reporter from Columbus, Ohio. Since 2005, Witham has been the sideline reporter for the 2008 MLS Champion Columbus Crew telecasts. She has also worked for SportsTime Ohio, the Big Ten Network, Ohio News Network and the Columbus Sports Network as a feature reporter, anchor and sideline analyst. The northeast Ohio native played college soccer at Capital University, earning first team all-league and all-academic honors. Katie resides in Central Ohio with her dog Lucy.
