WHY ISN'T TK TRAINING WITH THE USWNT????

Ok ok ok As much as I am obsessed with the USWNT there are some things that have been bothering me lately. Well, this year at least. I know we're ranked number one in the world because thats just how we roll but that doesn't mean that everytime we have a friendly Pia needs to take our best players from their club teams to face off with another country. Give players like Tobin Heath, Casey Noguera and Val Henderson a time to shine. Its not like they'd lose to a team like Canada anyways cuz quite frankly theyre not that good. And those kids know better than to lose a national game anyways. Whats the point of taking out players like Hope, Pinoe, and Carli? I may be whining because I'm a Red Star fan and we did crappy with out them but really? whats a friendly goonna do to us as a country? Not a da^^n thing. Wait til qualifiers and tournaments to pull the players. You don't give them chances to mesh with thier teams. And another thing, if your taking the ball A$$ players out to shine why not take the coldest one out there. TK! TK is clutch, TK is fast, TK is fly, TK has mad skills, TK is god and last but certainly not least TK is not only an olympic gold medalist but TK is a world champion. So why, why, why, why isn't TK in the USWNT training camp with the rest of them.

Comment by JessAmy on September 6, 2009 at 10:02pm: lilly needs to get called back up to the national team, shes a world class player and her and lepielbet basically carried the boston breakers this season. also in my personal opinion lilly is a thousand times a better player than her curent #13 national replacement, tobin heath. lets face it, lilly should be the captain of the national team-shes a 20 year veteran and physically in better form than some of the curent younger national team members

But they're all out with injuries. I can't predict the outcome of this match. If Germany wins Euros, they'll have a lot of momentum, plus it's on their own field. I think this game's a toss up.

Comment by Kat on September 2, 2009 at 3:21pm: I think Pia took the regular WNT players out from their clubs for friendlies because it's also important for them to train and play together once in a while so they won't lose that chemistry (I know one player said this in one interview, I just can't remember who because my memory sucks). When they get used to playing w/ their WPS teams for a couple of months it's harder for them to get back into that WNT chemistry. I'm actually worried that in the last 2 games against Canada, they won by just a single goal late in the game. And that's just Canada (not that I'm belittling but come on they have a new coach and they're like #11 in the world). So they better step it up for Germany because yeah they've been kicking butt at the Euros.

Comment by Espihir on September 1, 2009 at 7:01pm: Sorry for the delay...Kai is inconsistant and I wouldn't blame Sundhage for not calling her up even without the shoulder issues.

When I spoke with Kai in June, she said that she was going to have surgery on one, maybe both surgeries depending on how they recovered. So it's nothing new and something that Sundhage would look out for when choosing call ups.

This is also a friendly game, so she will be picking new players to see how they compete under pressure. They better do well because Germany is kicking a$$ in the Euro's...5-1 against Abily/Bompastor & Co.

Comment by Emily on August 29, 2009 at 3:16pm: In the beginning it was Kai's attitude that Pia didn't like, right before the olympics. She did get called up for the algarve though. I think it's because Pia doesn't like Kai's playing style and inconsistancey. Possibly the shoulder too.

why tk isn't getting called up?i thought it was cuz pia didnt like her playing style or something like that.
