What Happen to the So Call American Star Players

This obviously is an International affair. America declare themselves to be the best in the world, but the league is its fouth month, and the Americans have not done anything. The only American to do something is Kristine Lilly, and remember people she is 35 years old. She is ranked 7th with goals, and Ali Wagner is ranked 4th with assists.
Some one need to talk to these players. Whats going on. Just imagine if there was no rule on international players, the American´s would not be able to make the teams.
They need to show more results, and produce more, because this will be reflected in international competitions.

I think FIFA "declared" them best in the world. As a team. It's a team game, after all, so individual efforts only mean so much.

Point taken though. It's interesting that success as a club player doesn't necessarily translate to success as a national team player. And vice versa. France and Australia have some great WPS players, but their respective national teams are bad to awful!

I agree that Wambach has been quiet, then again just coming off a masive injury it's understandable. As for internationals vs. our women's national team players, USA is obviously a top team, when they are all play with on the same team. The fact that each team has about three WNT players on it, gives each of the players less chances to get a shot on goal. Think about it, if you have one national team player and one rookie up top, instead of two national team players the statistical odds of a national team player are cut in half. But, some of the allocated WNT players are defenders, it's not like you're going to see Solo tied for most points in WPS.

Overall it is still the inaugural season of this league, not everything is going to be perfect.

christie rampone isn't shining for me. keeley dowling is doing a tremendous job! super spectacular to be exact. Kai is inconsistant, but she's a huge reason why sky blue is somewhat winning games now. Kacey white, along with kai, is what's geting goals for the sky blue. Kristine lilly isn't poppin for me. i totally forgot she still plays. aly wagner is pretty woah.

i think the americans play best when they all play together. they beat canada 4-0. i think taht says a lot.

Just because the Americans are not scoring goals doesn't mean they are not doing anything or showing good form. There have been some impressive Americans ...yes not enough compared to the internationals but there has been standout performances. eg..Brittany Bock, Allison Falk, Amy LePeilbet, Keeley Dowling, Christie Rampone,Brittany Klein, Tina DiMartino etc....YES all in defence/midfielders but they are all showing good form and have stood out...To me.

I need to see Abby Wambach, Heather oriely, Lindsay tarpley, natasha kai. These players need to start scoring goals. Angela Hucles. Come on Ladies. I guess this is tough criticism, but you all need to wake up. I wonder what the national team coach must eb thinking now.
