It's been a while since I've been on here. I have been going through some life changes. Some good, some....not so good. I don't dwell on the past and never fret at things I cannot change but I do like to bring one thing up when it comes to women's soccer, the 2007 WWC. Even though I wasn't on the field, on the team, or in the stadium I felt the pain, the emotion, the anger, the hatred and the heat. From the time I heard that Greg Ryan was doing a changing of the guard I knew it was a call for disaster. I'm sure these have been asked over and over again before but I have a couple of unanswered questions because I don't think I've ever heard the answers; 1. Why? Greg, Can I call you Greg? (I can think of a few other names but I'll stick with Greg) Why, Greg, would you ever take a goalie of Hope's caliber and throw in a washed up goalie just because she did well in the previous tournament THREE years prior? I don't get it. So Greg, if you are reading this please answer my question. I would like to know what you were thinking. You ever think that maybe that was a terrible idea. I sure did and so did everyone else who knows soccer. 2. Why didn't the captain speak up? Yes, Lil I'm talking to you. I know deep down inside you thought this dude was a fool for putting in Bri. There is more to this question I could ask but I just want to know what was going on in your head too. That switch will go down in history as the most idiotic move ever in the game of women's soccer in my book. I'm sure most of you could agree. I know Hope's team got mad at her after her little fiasco with the news but if I was on the team I wouldn't have even played with Bri in the box. I might be saying this because I'm not on the team but I don't know why nobody spoke up, or did they and we didn't know about it. Yeah Bri was once the bomb and everyone else was the grenade but that was then and this is now. There is a new kid in town and she is not to be reckoned with. The 1999 squad would get smashed by these kids. STOP BEFORE YOU YELL AT ME FOR SAYING SUCH THINGS BUT ITS TRUE. From the front to the back line you can't compare. Yes, they led the way to where this team is today and I praise them for it but that sting from 2007 still lingers. Anyways, whats really on my mind is what's going on in the WPS with all these trades and signings. I am a CRS and I stand by them 100% no matter what but what I don't like are players like Carli Lloyd signing with SBFC. WTF? Are you mad at the team, coaching staff, us-the fans? Or are you embarrassed because you played like crap and feel if you go to another team you might do better? RUBBISH. Carli, you really weren't any type of asset to Chicago anyways. I mean, yeah as a fan I'm bitter we didn't make it to the play offs but as a player you really didn't bring anything to the table. Your a ball hog. You make this great run and have players open on each side of you then you fudge it all up. I watched the US Germany game on the net and you kept making these great runs and you hustled but then you'd lose the ball and cry like a baby. I don't think you appreciated Chicago as much as we thought you did. You could have at least tried, you chose to be here, we didn't choose you. But you were picked for a reason. I'm not the coach but I do have a right to state my opinion. Carli, you should have retired with A.H. On another note I'd like to welcome to our newest CRS, J. Sitch, I hope you have a pleasant stay. Now, Back to the USA v GER, one word, wow. The fight, the heart, the faith, the blood, the sweat, the tears and the women who made it all happen, my heros. The old and new. Even the ones younger than me, I still look up to you. With out women's soccer I don't know what else I'd love.
PS. BIG UPS TO E. MASAR, CRS FANS LOVE YOU. I had like 10 different people text me as soon you were on your feet. We're all watching.
