Should She stay or should She go?

Personal story: how important is challenge in our life.

What's the hottest transfers rumour before start opener season of WPS? Simple. It's Marta's Vieira Da Silva move to Los Angeles. Most fans are tired. Understandable. But you can think anything, she's genius. She makes the whole world start interested in women's soccer. Respect!

I'd like to say why she should stay in Sweden on one season else and why she'll doesn't do it. Please, don't kill me.

She's my inspiration. When I wake up everyday, first thing which I do is turn on my laptop and surf by the web to find any information about my star. Next, I thinking about her possibility to move or stay. I live in Poland: far away from Umea, Sweden, but more fare away from LA. What do you think, how often can I see Marta's game? Once a few years, once a year, twice a year, maybe once in life? Think about it! No have true answer 'cause I did it, but have no idea what will be soon. When she'll leave.

Some autumn's day in October. I read: LA offers Marta's million contract. Stand up then kicked my stool. 'Damn, she'll disappears from my horizon!' My eyes need touch her! It's my short story, but most crazy in my life.

I've seen Marta before. It was on the Final of UEFA Women's Cup in Frankfurt on May. I fallen in love just after a first whistle. Wow, her fast, technique skills - it's really amazing. I wish you, my Americans, that you maybe able to enjoy this! So, come back to story. After this, I knew only that I must do it again! It was my last chance. 12th November Umea IK played last game. UEFA Cup against Arsenal London. After that Marta's went to holiday and nobody's knew that she'll come back. Her contract expired.

What can I did? Just booked tickets to Sweden! It was most amazing week in my life. Long, but fascinating trip by Sweden. When I came to Umea, then happened something magic. I can't explain it. Marta was my neighbor!! Amazing coincidence. I work as journalist, so it was really successful adventure. Did many interviews, had many meeting, made many photos. To give it polish supporters. And last, big game with Arsenal. Umea IK killed them, 6-0 victory and 4 goals from Marta.



Why I told you this? Marta it's european soccer child. We gave her a chance. Everything what she has, got from Umea IK, Sweden, Europe. I'd like to try explain how important she is for us and our soccer. I'm sure that we are in her heart and she'll miss for Europe.

Women's soccer it's all of my life, so I'm a big fan to WPS. I'm keeping crossfingers and sure that you can do it! I promise that I'll keep track of all the events. It's clear that Marta join to LA; money, prestige, family, big world etc. But remember that always she'll be our. We did a lot for her, she did a lot for us. We remember and wish u good luck Marta! It's too much to say it. We love her and believe that she'll be happy in LA. She can do a lot for you too.

In conclusion: We'd like to save Marta, it's natural. But look. Marta need this move. Since start her career she loved challenges. When she was 14 she left her family, three years later she left Brazil 'cause she need it! Now, it's time to next episode. She must feel it to be alive. I understood it. I'm crying but I'm so proud! And as move to WPS is new inspiration for Marta, it will be my new inspiration to see her game in USA, first time ever.
