Women's Professional Soccer

Tomorrow night is Brazilian night at the Maryland SoccerPlex, welcoming Marta to the DC Area. There will be Brazilian food, music and performances before the game, as well as a quasi independence day celebration afterwards, with fireworks. Batala is a rhythm band that will be bringing their flavorful style to the pregame entertainment. And make sure to pick up some Samba lessons as well. There will be a DJ, a temporary tattoo artists, a foosball table and more! Afterwars, the players will be headed to Hard Times Cafe afterwards to celebrate, so join your favorite Freedom players for some food and a pint!

Kickoff is set for 6 PM EST, and if you can't make it, or are not local, it will be televised live on FSC for those who have cable. Follow my tweets or @DCFreedom to keep up with the latest action. Can't wait to see you all there!

GO FREEDOM!

Despite the loss, it was a great evening, with the Brazilian music and dancing beforehand and the Hard Time Cafe afterward - where for once the players actually came over and talked to us rather than being sequestered on one side of the restaurant while we were on the other.
