Women's Professional Soccer

...Is it just me or was the attendance at the championship game very LOW??? I mean they had accourding to the league 7,218 people which wasnt even the highest excluding the first game ever, MLS double-header. Also having so many empty seats didnt do any good for people watching esp. sponsors (thats the one thing about small fields where it makes it look packed).

I think the Chivas game happening later that same night hurt the Sol from drawing more soccer fans out for a seperate admission event. The time slot didn't help either. I am not sure what the rating for the final was but one reason why it could have been low in certain markets was because Fox was covering the Red Sox-Yankees and Cubs-Dodgers games at the same time the final was occuring. So basically Fox was competing against themselves in the Boston, New York, LA and Chicago markets. Simply put the final should have been played later in the day and Chivas should have been more accommediating.

true that... im kinda happy it was in LA, like the fact that they had the most attendence of the season. sadly it was just half the attendence of the league opener.

oOo without a dout they would've opened the stands(but not the area right behind the goal)...the football field idk because of the construction, idk how far they are in the process.

i think if it was at yurcak, they would open up the other side of teh lawn. rutgers stands can only hold so many people... or they could've moved it to the football field :)

And also if the stands were the way they were they should've pushed everyone down like MLB teams do, so that when the camra goes by it looks packed

Same if not more, but also if we did host it would've looked good because all the seats would've been sold and everything

If this game was held in New Jersey, would there have been more fans attending?

But still even if there was other sports, thats the job of marketing to get people to come to your sport and not theres, and thats basically there most important!!!. I deff. agree with you also with them having so much time, they had over a month and they didnt do crap, I've seen more advertisment for the STL Super-Simi then the Championship.
