(Oct. 23, 2008) – Women’s Professional Soccer announced today the winner of the Top Town Video Challenge. Former U.S. Women’s National Team star Brandi Chastain, the judge for the contest, selected Jessica Price’s video entry as the Grand Prize winner.
Price, a soccer fan from southwestern Virginia, opened her video with a spoof of AT&T’s popular commercials showing customers not receiving important messages due to poor connections and then segued into why WPS should place a team in her region and how she has already increased interest in soccer in her area. Price’s grand prize-winning video, can be viewed at:

By winning the Top Town Video Challenge, Price received a trip for two to the WPS Inaugural Match in April 2009.
The Top Town Video Challenge asked fans to submit a video answering the questions, “Why is your WPS city tops? And what makes it a great soccer town?” Fans without a WPS team in their area were encouraged to explain why their city should host a WPS team.
We would like to thank everyone that participated, your videos were excellent. We hope you continue to spread excitement for WPS!!!
