Women's Professional Soccer

I happened to be perusing ESPN.com today, when I noticed a page that telling me Lil Wayne wrote a blog for ESPN.com. If you don’t know who Lil Wayne is the blog described him as, Lil Wayne is a commercially successful rapper and major sports fan. So I figured, if Lil Wayne could do it, why not Kait.

So, here goes, prepare to be wowed.

You can smell it in the air, one of the greatest months in all of sports, Rocktober as some refer to it as. You can literally watch great sports every night of the week, which is pretty exciting to some people, my mom not included, this could be my one and only blog, had to give my mom a shout-out. Anyway, more to the point, October is a great month to see fans at their best. So, that got me thinking about the Red Stars and our future fandemonium.

Chicago is a great town to be a sports fan in, even as we speak, half the town is depressed after a monumental loss by Ryan Dempster and the Cubs loss last night. Then there is a quarter of the town that is still wearing their black trying to black-out the city in Sox Pride.

So now prepare for the dream sequence of the blog, I can’t wait for the day when Red Stars fans can get ready for the “Hunt for Red October”. As of right now our season only goes until August, so this may be a few years down the road, again I prefaced this is the dream sequence. What excites me though, and believe it or not it’s not just clever ways of putting colors and months together, it’s that we have the pieces in place, to make the Red Stars the envy of all other fans in Chicago.

We already have an incredible supporter section, Local 134, you know I like the cleverness used there. On top of that we have an incredible video campaign, with hundreds of people screaming at the top of their lungs that they are Red Stars Fans. We also have 407 friends on Facebook.com, I’m pretty sure that means we’re popular. Could an employee of the greatest team in Chicago ask for anything more? The answer to that question is obviously, YES. I want more, I’ve had the taste of greatness and I only want more. So spread the word, tell your friends about us, make my dream of a sellout night at Toyota Park for every Red Stars game a reality. Yes it’s true, I Want You… So be like Mrs. O’Leary’s cow, and let’s have Red Stars fever spread like fire across Chicago.

I’m a Red Stars Fan, are you?

Kait is a commercially successful WPS employee and major Red Stars Fan.

I didn't know you had it in you, but that blog will go down in history as one of the best I have read to date. Lets see if Carrie will be inspired to write her first blog. I am inspired to even write my second. blog..if I can find time away from all of the HR work I have ahead of me.

Thank you Kait. No really, thank you. Your contribution to the blogging world cannot be measured. It is everything a blog should aspire to be. Anyone who can weave Sir Sean Connery, Lil Wayne and a cow into one cohesive and brilliant treatise deserves to be praised. Well done.
