Wow. WPS overload today. Back-to-back-to-back game coverage.
Happy to see Athletica get a win this weekend. I really hope they can surge through and host some playoff games for post-season since I will have moved significantly closer to St. Louis and significantly farther from Chicago in August.

Okay so the LA/FCGP game ended about 4 minutes ago and I didn't even watch it (I matchtracker-ed), BUT I can't help but posting.

I really enjoyed how each of the three games was on a separate night this weekend. For those of us who love every second of action, this was great. However, I'm going to repeat what many others have been saying, put this stuff online. Friday's game was on NBC Universal Sports, a channel that DirectTV and Dish subscribers don't get. I can't even begin to express how thrilled I am that the season is FINALLY here. It's been a long 5 and a half years waiting for the return of women's professional soccer in this country. I grew up spending my summers as a young teenager loving the WUSA in all its forms. In 2001 when most of the games were showed mostly locally, I was able to use my DirecTV sports package to my advantage by watching almost every single game played that season.
