More about me
I love soccer, was once an international now a coach. I love the technical aspect of soccer and have been blessed with the ability to spot and develop raw talent.

I love to see women's soccer flourish or better still rank way up there with our male counterparts. I support the WPS and all it represents.

In a nutshell, I eat, drink, breathe and sleep soccer !

Thanks for the feedback. Can you join the community so that you can provide more feedback directly. I would be interested in finding out more about your background such as what licenses you have, your coaching experience etc because we are looking for moderators for some of our discussion forums and Groups. So we are always looking for good knowlegeable coaches.

In particular I want to have a good representation of female coaches and am trying to think of some ways in which we can mentor and encourage more female players to start coaching and also create a support system for female coaches to try and expand their ranks and decide to coach for a living. In the US almost 50% of player participation up through college is female but the ratio of female coaches is very low compared to men.

Maybe you could help me find a core group of female coaches who would like to help start a private women's only coaching group in my community?

I attended a great seminar last December that was focused on developing female players and coaches that had some very influential and key people from within the women's coaching ranks, such as three current WNT coaches plus Greg Ryan made his first real presentation since the World Cup. There was also an assistant from the England national team but guess what, they were all men. I have some good contacts from within the womens' game such as Sports Psychologists, NSCAA staff and college coaches, Gayle from Fairgame magazine etc that I want to approach.

Let me know what you think and join the community so we can talk over there.
Cheers
Tim

Hello,
I would love to get your opinion of a new soccer community I have started regarding coach, player and parent development. The community is part of Soccer Interactive.com which is a coach development website. The community is at http://community.soccerinteractive.com. One of the things we want to focus on is the development needs of female coaches and coaching female players. I would be very interested in your thoughts and ideas. Check us out and give me your feedback.

Cheers

Chalupny's a fantastic young player. I'd love to have her in DC, but odds are she'll end up in her home town of St. Louis. I'm mostly hoping we get Abby Wambach back.
