Losing balance on the tightrope of sport ethics

"Its a thin line between..." That was a phrase often repeated in our presentations. A thin line between ambition and greed. Between corruption and appropriate compensation. Between cheating and trying to win. Between attempting equality and reward for success. This thin line we consistently live on. But who draws that line? Which coun...

There is more to life than soccer?

I seemed to struggle with this one more than the others. Which is strange because quite a bit actually happened this weekend. More importantly, last night I saw Edie Carey and on a whim, we decided to stay for Raining Jane. I HIGHLY recommend both!

It's Where You're Headed

There is so much I could write about… Let me tell you, nothing prepares you. Nothing. When it became “game time” my whole personality changed. I’m in general a very goofy person, tending to let others lead. But on game day, I don’t know who that person was. I was making decisions, directing people left and right, coordinating one thing after another, meeting some very important people without pause…I was even wearing heels!

It didn’t go perfectly, and I’ll say I’m the first person to foc… Continue

Flashing…Lights (Lights) Flashing Lights (Lights)

Flashing…Lights (Lights) Flashing Lights (Lights)

I had the privilege of experiencing the PUMA kit launch for myself last week. Quite the experience! I mean I’ve met Steven Spielberg, that guy on the O.C. and one time even bumped into (luckily not literally or she would’ve easily broken in half) Lindsay Lohan and her “gal-pal” Samantha Ronson at around 3am down in AC. But these sad versions of brushing with fame, will never prepare a pers… Continue

Nepotism ain't so bad...

As I watch Michael Bradley score twice for the US with his father as the head coach, I'm beginning to think "keeping it in the family" is a great idea. Maybe there's another team with family connections... ;-) So, it’s been a long time, I know. Things have gotten busy. That may actually be an understatement! Lots has happened in the WPS, and I hope you’ve been keeping up in the news, so I won’t have to recap. So let me ju… Continue

Hey Natalie,
Great meeting at Glory Days the other night. Hope we didn't razz you too much (but you were wearing the Sky Blue Gear ;-) !! Hopefully I will be able to catch you when I come up for the next Sky Blue game. You should come down for the next home game since you have a little 6 week vacation coming up. I will even buy you a Freedom shirt to wear !!
