It's a big operation, and it was interesting seeing what went on behind the scenes. I had a radio and was listening on the operations channel, so I heard a lot of how such an event is worked out.

I think they probably have all the volunteers they need for now, it's more important that you bring new people to the games on a regular basis, build up the fan base. Try, if you can, to bring one new person to each home game.

I left a message with the Ops manager and he was looking for a gate greeter, which is a fun job, you pass out literature and make the folks happy as they come into the stadium-- and Spanish is a wonderful plus.. I did it the first game, and when done I went in and had fun watching the game.

Concept is you show up at noonish, they give you a sandwich (good) and a shirt, a credential, and tell you what to do. Call me on cell phone to give me your real name, address, and phone number and I will forward it along and I trust they can still use you, I mentioned you know Spanish, which is great.

Here's my number: 415-823-2276 cell. Call as soon as you can so I can get you hopefully lined up for Sunday.
