Hello everyone! I know it has been so long since the last time I wrote to all of you, but the nice thing is a whole lot has happened since then. The best thing that has happened since our women won the gold medal was that I was allocated to the Washington Freedom(woohoo!). This means that the league is finally getting underway. Watching my team win gold

We won! I am so proud of the US team playing through such adversity, playing great soccer for 120 minutes, and finally, playing together and coming up with the victory. It is nice to see our team on the top podium with Germany and Brazil below them, a repeat of the 2004 Olympics.

We keep coming back

One more win and we have the GOLD! I was so excited to watch our girls go out there, come from behind, and SCORE goals against Japan! We can now say it was a blessing that we lost to Norway in the first match because we already knew what it meant to be down early, but this time we knew how to come back.

Pumped for Japan, again

It was four hours long, but I can finally breathe a sigh of relief that we advanced onto the semis!! I was so happy to watch Tash score an awesome goal and I was even happy to watch her dance as a celebration! I think all of us needed something fun like that to happen during the game.
