I have been actively involved the American Cancer Society Relay for Life of Glen Ellyn, Wheaton and Winfield for many years. I believe in helping others and know that healthy living is only a small part of the equation when trying to be cancer-free. We need to put more research into the benefits of superfoods, what's wrong w/the environment and figure out why so many people in DuPage county alone are getting cancer! I am the mother of two Chicago Fire Jrs. soccer players, both daughters and I am so inspired by their bravery, strength and passion for many things, including soccer. I am so happy that there is a WPS team here in Chicago and look forward to being able to take my family to some games. I am married to Steve and have loved him for over 20 years since I first spotted him in the cafeteria of Douglas Hall at Northern Illinois University.

I have been a Girl Scout Leader for 10 years and was thrilled to see Peter Wilt act on my suggestion of forming a collaboration between the Red Stars and/this wonderful organization that's all about teaching girls to be leaders and be themselves.
