Boston and Chicago have supporters groups up and running - we can't let the Freedom be left behind! If you're interested in getting involved, see my discussion here or just contact me via email at kevin(dot)parker(at)wap(dot)org. Hope to hear from you!

I would be interested in joining a supporters group - I guess I will see you at the conference and I can get more info about it from you there!

I'm going to try to set up an organizational meeting around the end of this month, work commitments permitting. I hope to have the specifics of that in time for the press conference so I can share the information with the other fans there.

Just a bump to note our kickoff meeting in three days:

Tuesday, September 30, 7 pm
Gordon Biersch
900 F St., NW
Washington, DC

If you want to attend, please let me know at StarCityFan(at)comcast(dot)net.

And if you're interested but can't make it, please send me your email address. I'll add you to the contact list and keep you posted on our plans and activities.

I don't get Fox Soccer channel. So I'm wondering if anyone knows a "Family Friendly" place to see the Inaugural game? The place I've seen promoted is a bar. Any ideas?

Yes, I was nonplussed myself when I saw that the location for the viewing party didn't admit anyone under 21. There are several alternatives: Summers in Northern Virginia and the place the Screaming Eagles (DC United supporters group) use, to name two. I'll check into this and get back to you.

The Freedom Fighters are sponsoring a family-friendly viewing party in the DC area for the inaugural match. Go here for details.

I heard about a "no fan left behind" program where fans can get a ride with others to and from the games?

See http://www.freedomfighters-sc.com/NFLB.html . I have a guy who can get you to and from the Shady Grove Metro station if you want. Use my contact information on the page there, and I'll put the two of you in touch.
