Does anyone know who is protected on each 2009 team from the expansion draft later this week? Anyone wish to speculate which players who grew up in Phila should be recruited / drafted onto the Independence? How about former Charge players we would like to see play back in our area? Will Nicole Barhardt or Christie Shaner or ??? return home to play? What to you think?

Shit this isnt good..."Since Philadelphia has No. 1 pick in the International Draft, Atlanta will select No. 1 in the 2010 WPS Draft held January 15, 2010 at the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) convention in Philadelphia. The Independence will select second in this college draft event, then the existing seven WPS teams pick third through ninth, with the two expansion teams also drafting tenth and eleventh to close out the first round of this 2010 WPS Draft. The first round is the only round in which Philadelphia and Atlanta have two selections. After the first round, in all subsequent rounds (probably seven rounds total), the Independence will have the second selection in the round."


It's still hard to determin wheater Tob's or Casey is going to go first...Ofcourse now I'm hoping Casey does!!!

Im so happy Philly is going to have a Team . I Lived in Philly for about 3 years but recently moved to Scotland. And im pretty bummed i wont be able to get to the games.

its in a suburb of philly, yehh piscat is no where near close...its weird for me bc for the beginning of the season it'll be sumwhat easy for me to get to philly but after that it'd be more easy for me to get to nj
