I'm taking Atlanta to take Tobin first.

What's intriguing is that the LA Sol have no fewer than three top-ten picks, at #5, #8, and #9. And the Breakers, of course, have picks at #3 and #11. The Beat pick at #1, #10, and #12;

Santos FC website has two very interesting articles about the first ever FIFA women's club world cup to be held in March or April of 2010, in Sao Paulo, Brasil (Santos FC home). Also, Santos FC will get to keep all current players for this tournament, which includes Marta, Cristiane, Francielle and Ericka. The articles are in portuguese, but Google does a decent job with the translation.

I would pick O'Hara and Nikki Marshal. But most likely I see them going with two defenders like Everland and Harkin

Here is a list of a mock draft if we had #5 and 8# I still don't see an impact player, unless we trade up

i dont get what the sol is looking for in next years draft by trading away two more players. Allison Falk was a perfect fit to play along side of Brittany Bock, they both have to size to win balls. And trading your back up goalie is another suprise too me. How can you build a team by trading away players after only one year. Just some thoughts from a concerned Sol fan.

Fauk rocks and Val were great.
They were a huge asset.
Does anyone have any guess what #5 pick will bring the SOL?

I think we should go for
Cristiana and Daniela

Cristiane tops list of free agents

After a slow start due to injury, Cristiane netted seven goals for the Chicago Red Stars last season. Three of them came in the same game against FC Gold Pride, making her the only WPS player to convert a hat trick during the inaugural season. Now the 24-year-old Brazilian is a free agent.

The Red Stars are hoping to work out a deal to keep Cristiane in the Windy City, but for the moment she is free to speak to all nine clubs.

“We had a good experience with Cris, and we would still very much like to retain Cristiane,” head coach Emma Hayes said. “We have to work with her agent to negotiate a new contract, but we’re very much trying to sign Cristiane for next season.”

The coach believes the feeling is mutual between the club and the player that scored 39% of its goals.

“She’d love to be back in Chicago,” Hayes said. “She had a great time here and made great friends.”

Daniela: She will be a medical risk after a bad knee injury ended her 2009 season in May, but there is no doubt this Brazilian midfielder can play, as evidenced by her two spectacular goals in the same game she was injured in. She will take up one of a team’s five international slots to be signed.
