Crisitane Update

Does anybody have any news on Cristiane's status in signing with the Red Stars. I've been watching Marta's dealings practically daily. Word is she's pretty much set to play in LA in 2009 (I'm speechless). I'd love to know what the chances are of Chicago getting Cristiane. She's my #2 player. Any news would be so appreciated!

She got hurt a week a go when they played a scrimmage against University of Illinois and from what I heard they are taking precautions and letting her heal up. That's why she didn't play last Sat. against Athletica. Hopefully she'll be ready at least for the Red Stars home opener on the 19th.; ▶ Reply to This

She was sidelined on Saturday's match due to some preventative measures taken by our Coaching Staff, which was a tough decision for sure, but overall the best decision to make in order to have her be able to play with us all season.

She should be back and ready to go for this Saturday's match vs. Washington Freedom.

Permalink Reply by Jono on April 8, 2009 at 9:11pm: It would be good to see a regular update on the Chicago site on what is the fitness status of all of the players and also is is named in the team each week... my daughter has been coached by Heather Garriock and interested in how she is going, but without this sort of information it is hard to follow from Australia.
We see that Heather wasn't in the starting team for game 1, but couldnt see anywhere about what the reason is (injury or just not selected)... hope to be able to see more info soon.; ▶ Reply to This
