I like all the kits, with the exception of the skorts (there's a women's team (in Ireland, I think) that wears field hockey type skirts though). I predict that the skorts will be a thing of the past relatively soon.

I'm really looking forward to the return of women's soccer in the US!

My first thought was.... what the heck are they thinking? This is soccer, not field hockey and soccer players don't play soccer in skirts. I am hopeful that this will be discarded as the mistake it is....

I like the Gold Pride, Breakers, Sol, and Athletica kit colors. I don't like the skirt effect on any of the kits, I could say a lot more on this but I will bite my tongue.

I just saw this article. It looks like the skorts are a wrap that goes around the shorts. It doesn't look like many players will wear them either.

I think the skirt is stupid. It reminds me of the movie, "A League of Their Own," when the players had to wear real skirts instead of pants. I think the to uniforms have the same theme, they basically look the same. Its like they just changed the colors and the logo. However, being the Sol fan that I'm I really like the Sol's away uniform.

I agree. We have worked so hard to be able to play sports and its come to this? Yes were women, but do we have to be remindedeven while playing? I hope its a mistake thats tourned around fast.

I am glad the skorts are optional. Hopefully the player's choice will be a resounding no.

There's a video clip from the Today show where Lilly and Solo are interviewed, and the 'wrap' is featured. The players refer to it as an accessory, so I don't think we'll see it on the playing field. Here's a link:

I just found out on the Today Show that the skort is just a wrap, it is just an accessory. Thank god! Other than that I really like the Red Star kits.

Here's an article the League has posted about the wraps, called "What's in a wrap?"

Basically, they were made as an additional piece for the Los Angeles Sol, Boston Breakers, FC Gold Pride and Sky Blue FC.

The article reads: "It’s a complement to the shorts and definitely something different. They are completely optional and will not be worn in games. The wraps are removable and can be detached from the shorts with easy to remove buttons."

I like Gold Pride's away jerseys probably the best. For the home jerseys, I like Athletica, Chicago, and Boston the best.

Honestly, the fact that there is something that remotely resembles a skirt in this lineup is degrading to the sport and the women participating in it. Womens' athletics have a difficult enough time being respected in this country and putting these premier level athletes in a more "feminine" look is not going to help matters. As a soccer player myself, I would NEVER want to be required to wear a skirt to play this sport. Even if it's optional and not to be worn in games, it's ridiculous.

Even with that said, it's nice to have Womens Professional Soccer back in this country at such a high level. Go LA!

As an Atlanta fan, I don't really have a bias for any of these teams. My personal Top 3:

1) St Louis Athletica
2) FC Gold Pride
3) LA Sol

Glad the WPS came out with the clarification on the wraps. I was surprised they were there to begin with but am glad they will not be used in the games.

I like most of the kits, the only ones I don't care for are the Sky Blue and Red Stars home jerseys but that is simply because I don't like the color sky blue. One question I have is what color is the away kit for Sky Blue is it yellow or orange because it looks yellow walking down the runway and orange in the group photo? Or am I color blind?
