What was the best part of your in-stadium experience?

Have you been to a WPS match yet? If so, what game did you go to, and how was your game-day experience? Did you think something was really cool or well-done - like announcements, fireworks, or the mascot?

We want to hear about it!

I went to the Freedom's home opener, and the coolest thing was running into people I hadn't seen in years, from WUSA-era Freedom staffers to fans I hadn't seen since the Freedom's last "meet-the-team" event late in the 2003 season.

I have to say I also liked the banners around the stadium reminding people that the Freedom already have two North American club championships in their trophy cabinet (and three if you count one of their youth teams).

Went to the Breakers home opener, and while things were generally very done, the most memorable part ended up being the fact that the monsoon stopped before kick-off, and before my vehicle sunk totally under the mud :)

Just walking through Harvard stadium, the sight, the smell, and the sounds of gameday. That crowd may have come in under 5000 but it sounded like it was closer to 10000. I could hear them clearly 2 buildings away where I was stationed for the game.

I've gone to both sky blue home games and i've already had way too many memorable experiences.

at the 1st game v.s L.a Sol the players were so close to the fans that i was able to shake Marta's hand as she was coming out to the field!!!! and later i got her autograph!

the next one was at the 2nd sky blue v.s fc Gold pride and being in the stands while heather o'reilly scored the 1st goal for the sky blue!!! and the drums that followed. again after the game i loved how sweet the players were and even though it was freezing and they just spent over 90 minutes outside they still stayed outside to meet the fans and sign autographs! i got my sky blue T-shirt sign by almost all the sky blue players and my WNT jersey signed by Kai, and Rampone!

I'm hooked and will be going to all the home games and hopefully some on the road!

i think the fact taht sbfc's games were in a baseball stadium was pretty incredible. I didnt know how to imagine it at first

anywayz, agreed with the "how close players were to you" part. haha. heather signed my phone. i have a pic of it. and she reemmbered me from the season ticket meet and greet the week before which is quite awesome!!

i can't wait for the home sbfc vs. chicago cuz carli lloyd is from nj and yadda yadda. there wil be a ton of chicago fans at that game i think.

I was very impressed with the time, the planning, the effort put in - to WPS games. Kudos to the organization, the clubs, the league, the fans - especially, and most of all the talented, exceptional players that WPS was able to bring in. For me, being able to watch exceptional players, in a full-field, soccer specific stadiums - where the field, the seats, the amenities, and the sound/lights are all exceptional... all of these things combine to make coming to see games worthwhile, memorable, and great value for money paid. And, the music/cheer/dance band at the stadiums (for me, it was superb... it really complimented the energy level that was needed).

Soccerdad, I totally second all your comments about the Sky Blue Game. The crowd was dead and the loud speaker nearly broke the sound barrier. Still, it was a thrill to be there!

I've attended every Freedom home game so far. What a great experience at the Soccerplex. You feel like you're practically on the field no matter where your seats are. You can hear everything the players say to each other during the game.

Despite the tough start to the season, Freedom fans are die hard and there's lots of support for the ladies in the stands.

I also appreciate the players taking a lot of time to meet fans and sign autographs after the game. There's a real connection with the players that you just can't get anywhere else.

Let me preface this by saying that I have had the oportunity to get close to the players during W-league games so I am used to being really close to the field and players

Attended the Sky Blue vs Sol game
Thoughts on the Venue:
It was very quiet... the crowd lacked energy. the seats went from midfield round the back of one goal. Loudspeaker Guy was annoying, or the volume was just too high. There were some cheering but it was a lot of people there to see Marta. I think they just don't have a roudy crowd. They need to solve that..some music would have helped other than the lame Ole, Ole... something, even having a volunteer run near the rail with a Sky Blue Flag, get people up and moving a few times... I felt like I was in the visitor section cause the Sol walked by us several times but Sky Blue never came over to our end a all
The Players were on the far side of the field so they could not influence the crowd; having them on the spectator’s side would have been great.

Autographs and Rap up
All of Sky Blue went to the area behind the goal and never came further than the are behind home plate, the netting for the baseball was still up and it was very strange, but a very good portion of LA sol signed for us in our area at Midfield
Marta Started Signing 3 people to our right, so we did not get her autograph, not a big deal
Shannon Boxx, Stephanie Cox, Christie Welsh and Kendall Fletcher(former Wildcats) signed many autographs along with a few others from Sol.
We left after the last LA player passed by us, we were going to try to See Heather and Kacey and KK, but it was getting late and we had a long drive

I will be attending the next SOL cgame and Maybe Boston at Rutgers to see if there is a big difference
