Women's Professional Soccer

So, as most of you have heard that the U.S. WNT are going to face the German WNT on October 29th. This will be a battle. Battle between two of the most dominant teams in the world. I wish I could watch it but I doubt there will be any stream of it.

I don't know what kind of injuries the Germans have but I know all about ours.
For me, I would be a lot more comfortable if we still had Rampone, Markgraf, and Tarpley on the squad. Two veteran defenders, two of our best, and one veteran midfielder, one of our best, out. Oh man.

I hope Abby kicks it into overdrive in this match. 1 goal in 3 matches since you've been back? You are soooo due.

I'm predicting Solo to play the entire match.

If Germany wins Euros, I think they'll have a lot of momentum going into this game. Can't believe the Swedes lost to Norway. I'm rooting for England :)

Predictions for the USA vs. Germany match?

Update: No Hucles or Rapinoe either.

Update #2: U.S. WNT wins against Germany! 1-0 on Abby Wambach's goal.

Yeah, I have a feeling this is a game we might not win.
Since Inka Grings is back, her and Prinz look unstoppable.

Woohoo! One of the few times I love being wrong! ^.^
Though from the article on US Soccer it sounds like Germany was playing as the better team.....

Well the US had a disadvantage coming in with the amount of missing players - Tarpley, Rampone, Markgraf, Rapinoe, and Hucles. That's 4 veteran players and an upcoming star right there.

I'm pleasantly surprised at the victory. Its great to know we can still beat a team that is right there with us in World Rankings without 2 of our defenders that have been leading this team for 11 years.

I'm surprised with the win as well. I was worried with our defense since Christie and Kate are absent but I guess I don't have to worry anymore, which is a good thing, for the Americans anyway :)

Does anyone know of any site that has highlights of the entire match?

I keep getting more impressed with Sundhage as a coach. I know it was a friendly, but it was a friendly against the Germans, and in Germany. It's way too early to worry seriously about the '11 World Cup, but I still feel a bit more confident now.

I agree, until then, I say we need to work on the midfield hardcore.
